A Day Late and Several Thousand Words Short

This was not a good writing week.

Heck, it wasn't a good week, period.

I DID get lots of things done for other parts of my life, but I've been hit by some stupid health stuff and I'm co-chairing a huge fundraiser which is rearing its ugly head shortly, so I was basically running around like a chicken with its head cut off this week.

I still managed about 2500 words, which is better than no words. The story is in my head all the time, too, and that helps.

I also read two novels which are "inspirational" for what I'm writing currently. So that was all good.

More than anything, though, I notice I'm grouchy because I didn't get my writing time in. So... that's a priority for this next week, word count goal or no.

Happy start of the week to everyone!

Jen, 2500 words is good when you're non-writer life is so full and you're also sickly. I hope your health problems clear up soon. I don't envy you the event either--big or small, fundraisers are energy and creativity zappers for me.

It does seem that the world conspires against us at times... still, you wrote, and that's great.

I get cranky when I can't write, too, especially when the story is dancing in my head.

I think it's great that you found the time to dedicate to writing despite all that's going on in your life. Good for you! Way to go!
