February Final Count

I know there's still today and tomorrow, but I'm not sure I'll get the chance to check in again so I figured I'd give my tally now. Hopefully I'll add a few words but as of this morning, I've got 36, 731 words for the month.

Given the nature of this month, and its effect on my writing/life/sanity, the word count proves the point that every drop of water counts toward a full glass. I wrote in stolen moments, tiny swatches of time that I carved out during the chaos. The only days I didn't hardly write were the ones when hubby was in the hospital. But even during those days I managed to jot notes (on the back of his menu, once! I looked like a loon when I ran after the kitchen aide and asked for it back!) and plan scenes while he napped.

Honestly, I defintely prefer my ho-hum, daily writing schedule, the one that's worked for me for so long, to this hit-or-miss, grab-a-second method. But I adapted, and I'm happy that I did. The word tally makes me feel good, shows me that despite everything that happened I still managed to hold onto a bit of myself.

All good, and I'm ready for March. Thanks to everyone here for being so wonderfully supportive and encouraging during this nutty month. I sincerely appreciate your help!

Wow, Sarita! That is an amazing job, something to definitely be proud of. I agree with Joanie, I'm borrowing your stolen moments work ethic.
