Progress report

Made it through my goals of the past two days. I am NOT writing late again, however. While I made my 1000 words, they sucked, and I was miserable the whole time.

I did much better writing 1000 this morning and another 1000 this afternoon. I'm really looking forward to returning home on Tuesday and going back to my normal schedule for a few days.

WTG on your word count.

Awesome word count! I prefer to write early in the morning with a cup of coffee next to me and everyone asleep. In the evening I'm just too tired, especially after a long day of data entry at work.

You're moving forward, and that's what counts at this point. Good job!

Thanks, Dru and Ceri - and I'm with you, Ceri, on the early morning and coffee and QUIET. ;-)

I have the quiet here, but the schedule is very erratic.

Thanks, Joanie, too! I guess we cross-posted.

I hear you on the morning thing. When I was writing regularly I'd get up and set straight to work. I'm trying to establish that pattern again.

You're doing great on the word count, Jen. And don't worry about those um, uh spots. You can always go back and fill them in after January.

Hope your travels are safe and easy.

Hey D, thanks for the encouragement. I know I'll go back, it's just the dreaded revisions are... dreaded! I think, once I'm home, that I'll work out first and then write, but I may have to get up at 5 to do it.

Your word count is great! That's what this is about writing 50K words, not writing 50K amazing words. Just get them on the paper and once you hit 50K you can go back and make them amazing!

That's a good point, Melissa. I'm just not used to writing when I'm so darned sleep-deprived!

This seems like such a cool idea, but the ups and downs--you feel good that you write/you feel like your words suck--I don't know if I could take it.

But congrats to all of you!
